Lost in Thought (Tag: Constantine)

It was the weekend after Lacey had discovered her powers for the first time, and she still had a lot to think about. She'd hopped on the train to 4th & King Station, then wandered down to Mission Creek Park which looked even more beautiful today in the sunshine than it usually did. She wasn't one to usually come out alone, but today she had a lot on her mind.

Last week, she had been attacked by a demon, and she'd met Charlie Halliwell, who saved her, and had explained a lot about what had happened and what was happening. He'd been a great help, and it was good knowing they went to the same school. They'd started hanging out together at lunch; another new friend, brilliant!

Charlie had told her that her powers may have been passed down from her parents, but she'd thought not; neither of her parents mentioned anything about it before. But when she told her Dad about what happened, he'd confessed that he had powers too. At first Lacey had been surprised, then angry. How could he have not have told her before about this? Prepared her for what might have happened, and taught her how to use her powers. She didn't care if he was only trying to protect her, it hadn't helped her at all not knowing, just put her in more danger.

Lacey was so deep in thought as she walked that she was oblivious to the other people around her. So oblivious, in fact, that she crashed right into someone, losing balance, and falling to the floor with an 'oof!', grazing her arm on the pavement. "Ugh," she quickly looked around for the person she'd bumped into, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, are you okay?!"

Constantine had a long day at P3, covering for another person who had to go and head home due to an emergency so he was so tired from work. He walked along the pavement in the city heading towards his home. He could have taken a taxi, but he felt walking would do good for him. It can be always next time. As he continued, someone bumped into him. He stumbled a little bit and then looked to the left side at the girl who had grazed her arm on the pavement. "I'm okay," he said to her, "its alright. Are you okay? Here let me." He pulled her gently to her feet and inspected her to see if she's okay. "Looks like you're alright. But are you?" sure he had asked earlier but come on the girl bumped into him and fell to the ground he had to see if she was okay.

"Yeah, I'm fine," she replied, wincing as she looked at her arm. She'd scraped it pretty badly. It was just like her to be clumsy like this. "Thank you," she said as he pulled her to her feet like she weighed nothing, "I'll look where I'm going in future, I promise." After a couple of moments, she looked at him properly. He looked quite a bit older than her, in his early 20's maybe. "Um, I'm Lacey," she said, introducing herself, "Lacey Butler."

"That's good," Constantine answered to the girl, still seeing if she was okay. Once he found that she was, even after he had pulled her to her feet, he nodded again. "My pleasure. Good because you don't want to end up falling into the street or anything that'd be really bad." Like him once that wasn't fun either. He was only six and luckily he wasn't hit by a car or anything well if it weren't for his brother he wouldn't had been hit. Its a good thing his brother was there. Once she had introduced herself, he smiled back. "I'm Constantine Gray, nice to meet you Lacey. So, are you from around here?" Of course she would tell he's not, hence the British accent. No surprise there but you never know.
